Description

The Linux Foundation has launched the Open Mainframe Project, an initiative designed to “drive innovation and development of Linux on the mainframe.” This new project is driven mainly by IBM, which has also announced that it’s developing a Linux mainframe in conjunction with Canonical. Other founding members include ADP, CA Technologies, SUSE, Compuware, LC3 and RSM Partners.
