The system is a feature rich offering that can automate the accounting, order entry, inventory management, and CRM needs of your business in addition to automating other aspects. V2 can support multiple industries, including but not limited to: third party logistics, books, industrial machinery and equipment, food & beverage, janitorial & sanitation, and pharmaceutical distributors. We find that we recommend V2 for businesses that with revenues between $5 million and $50 million, have 11-100 employees, and need more than 6 users to access the system.
The software is designed for buyers that are looking for broad suite functionality and want one system to take care of their entire business needs. The system contains everything from sales order entry to a point of sale (POS) solution. One of the benefits is that Distribution One sells the system as a single solution so buyers know they are getting a complete product.
The options that buyers will have to select from are what to integrate and which deployment models works best. In terms of integration options, buyers can choose to integrate with FedEx Ship Manager to handle their logistics and tracking needs, Yahoo! Store Integration to support e-Commerce, or a hosted e-Commerce solution. Integrating with these services gives companies more time to focus on obtaining results while expanding functionality in sales and logistics.
In terms of deployment options, there are two versions of the software that buyers can choose from. The software can deployed in a traditional on-premise format or can be delivered as a web-based solution. The on-premise solution will have to be maintained in the warehouse while Distribution One will host the web-based solution for you. This allows for distributors to spend less time worrying about software maintenance and updates.
