Magnolia is an Open-Source content management system (CMS) developed by Magnolia International Ltd., based in Basel, Switzerland. It is based on Content repository API for Java. The upgrade from V 4.5 to 5.0 created such a materially different product that the releases before and after this upgrade are listed as two different products. This is the listing for the older versions (4.5 and earlier). Its websites feature dynamic viewport adaptation, concurrent editing for collaborative fixes (with warnings to prevent editing the same object) fit to a legacy workflow, multi-language content, built-in commenting, categorization, and RSS feeds. Magnolia presents multichannel delivery and responsive web design to support regionalized content and provide mobile-accessibility. Magnolia can be deployed locally or to a cloud infrastructure (e.g. Amazon EC2).
