Description

PrognoCIS is a web-based electronic health record (EHR) and practice management system. The product is developed and sold by Bizmatics, a company founded in 2002 and headquartered in San Jose, California. PronoCIS is well-suited for a range of practice sizes, from solo practices up to groups with about 25 physicians. The product can serve a wide range of specialties and offers custom templates to better serve these markets. Providers are able to customize templates live, as they are working, rather than requiring an administrator to make changes offline. PrognoCIS offers a range of user interface models, including handwriting recognition, drawing on the screen, and voice recognition, in addition to standard keyboard and mouse input. Bizmatics has taken a modern approach to product development. The system is built in the JAVA 2, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) development framework, which is highly scalable and secure. Meanwhile, the company has extensive engineering facilities in India. The company’s sales and support offices are split across the United States and India. PrognoCIS has already been ONC-ATCB Certified for 2011/2012, so meaningful users of the system can become eligible for stage 1 stimulus payments. In addition, the company achieved CCHIT 2011 Certification, which is the latest, most difficult certification to achieve from CCHIT. The product received a five-star rating from CCHIT for its usability. Bizmatics offers special pricing packages for start-up practices, recent medical school graduates and those moving to a paperless practice.
