Human Resource Information Systems HRIS, also known as Human Resource Management Systems, refer to systems and processes used by Employers to effectively and efficiently manage their workforce. These systems merge basic HR and Payroll activities and processes with information technology resulting in a more efficient means to manage and pay employees. Moreover, these systems integrate data from different applications into one employee database which includes employee personal data, payroll, pay history, vacation and PTO, disciplinary actions, time and attendance, and any additional information required to effectively manage employees.
