Description
Vitalect was started in 1997 as a training and consulting company and later transitioned into an eLearning software solutions company. It has offices in the Silicon Valley and in India. The company is led by its Founder and CEO, Pran Kurup. Pran's entrepreneurial spirit is born of a career blended in technology and education. He previously has held management and engineering positions at Cirrus Logic and Synopsys Inc., where he designed integrated circuits and managed and trained semiconductor engineers on design methodology and best practices.
A long-time educator, he has taught courses at the University of California at Santa Cruz and is the author of three books on Logic Synthesis and ASIC Design. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India, and a Masters in Computer Engineering from the University of Miami in Florida. Pran is actively involved in community activities; he co-founded the alumni web site of his alma mater, IIT Kharagpur, is a member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), and previously served as the President of the Silicon Valley Indian Professionals Association (SIPA).
