Propertyware was started in 2001 by Sina Shekou and Adam Silverthorne, both entrepreneurs and pioneers of software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions for companies such as Salesforce.com and Market Tools. We began as a small consulting firm that helped landlords and management companies organize data and improve customer service through the use of web-based tools.
After watching our clients struggle to find a simple and affordable software solution, we began development of Propertyware. The premise was simple—develop an easy-to-use and powerful web-based property management solution, designed to meet the unique needs of the small-medium business (SMB). Since then, we have attracted thousands of users and have helped companies of all sizes grow their business.
In November 2009, Propertyware was acquired by RealPage, Inc. (NASDAQ:RP), a leading provider of on-demand software and software-enabled services to the rental housing industry. Today, we leverage the resources, stability and experience of RealPage to bring new advanced features and products to the SMB market.
