Promys  Company Evolution PSA Software Developed for Cisco Gold/Master PartnerThe PROMYS PSA + integrated Quoting software was originally developed in 1998 by a rapidly growing Cisco Gold/Master partner.


“When we got to about 20 employees it was pretty clear that using a bunch of different software products; separate CRM, separate Quoting, separate PSA, was hurting our profitability and our growth opportunities,” founder, John Breakey.


“We looked at a variety of business software solutions available at the time, but nothing really seemed like a good fit for a multi-line of business IT solution provider. We had moved past break fix and small project work and I really needed something that was going to provide the stronger controls and reporting that the larger capital projects required, as well as much stronger forecasting and margin reporting so that I’d know where to double down on growth resources and where to re-allocate.”


“We originally never intended PROMYS to be for resale. It was going to be our own internal competitive advantage. As we started partnering with other IT Solution providers on some large national contracts, partners kept asking us what our secret sauce was.


Once we told them about PROMYS, a few eventually convinced me to sell them a license. They were so happy with the results that it was clear there a was a significant market opportunity for PROMYS and so we spun PROMYS off as it’s own corporate entity in 2003.”
