Goomzee Web Services s dedication to helping real estate professionals is at the core of our very existence. Our founder bought, remodeled and flipped real estate to initially fund our company. His REALTOR was our first customer and a loyal contributor to our continued innovations; it doesn’t hurt that he is one of the top-selling REALTORs in his respective market.
While sitting in a pool one hot Montana summer, the two discussed how to leverage Goomzee’s proprietary mobile technology and key mobile industry relationships and Goomzee was born.
Early on, we assembled sign riders and applied our own vinyl lettering with our early prototypes and tested our service with local REALTORs. Our founder, and senior software engineer coded by day and night spanning both US and Europe time zones. In early years, our senior engineer coded daily while on a train commuting to Geneva Switzerland to work his “day job” developing secure software solutions for banks. Another side job was moderating global Java development communities, and as a tech editor for O’Reilly and Manning publications’ books on Java, AJAX, Spring Framework, Aspect Oriented Programming and other topics.
Our founder was formerly a lead software architect, development manager who helped bring the world Club Nokia, the world’s first ringtone, screen saver and game download portal for cell phones using WAP and SMS technology. Together they still establish standards in mobile and web technology on a national and global level.
In little time since launch we gained regional press, and more offices and agents demanded our service. We knew we had a hit on our hands. Better yet, very early on our customers reported sales leads and home sales resulting in using our service. With the economy and real estate industry under fire, we forged new relationships and planned for our long-term vision by working with REALTOR Associations and Multiple Listing Services (MLSs) and helping them empower their customers by using our technology.
Along the way we have forged lifelong relationships with some of the industry’s thought leaders and technology experts. We cannot say it’s not without challenges, and we’re grateful for our partners, customers, and investors who have stuck with us through thick and thin to help us carry out our mission.
